The government has called an all-party meeting on December 5 to brief the leaders about India’s plans and preparations for the G20 group meetings to be hosted by India in the next one year. A senior party leader gave this information on Friday. He told on condition of anonymity that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi has invited presidents of 40 parties in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) will also be present.
Sources said that Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is likely to participate in this meeting to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Significantly, India will officially assume the presidency of the G20 group on December 1. India will be the chairman of G20 for one year and during this period there will be more than 200 meetings of the organization at 55 different places in the country. West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that she would go to the national capital to attend a meeting convened by the government on December 5 to brief her about the preparations for the G20 summit. She will participate in this meeting in the capacity of Trinamool Congress President.
