Batting first in the second ODI played on Saturday, the team scored 280 runs for 8 wickets on the basis of Steve Smith’s innings of 94 runs. In response, the English team was bundled out for just 208 runs in 38.5 overs. Along with winning the match by 72 runs, Australia has captured the 3-match ODI series. The last match is to be played on 22 November.

The England team has lost the series at the hands of Australia with their second consecutive defeat in the 3-match ODI series. Australia had elected to bat first after winning the toss. The opening pair of David Warner and Travis Head could not do anything special. Warner 16 while Head returned after scoring 19 runs. From here the team was handled by two superstars Steve Smith and Marnus Labushane. Mitchell Starc came down the order and scored a half-century. Roy was caught behind the wicket while Malan was clean bowled by Stark. James Vince and Sam Billings handled the team, both completed the half century. Vince 60 while Billings was the victim of Adam Zampa’s innings of 71 runs. Stark took 4 wickets for 47 runs in 8 overs. At the same time, Zampa also took 4 wickets for 45 runs in 9.5 overs.
