Brainstorming took place at Sonia Gandhi’s house regarding the winter session of Parliament, Congress will attack the government on these issues

New Delhi. The winter session of Parliament is going to start from Wednesday. In this session, the opposition Congress will specifically raise three issues to corner the central government. Jairam Ramesh, general secretary in charge of communication of the Congress, gave this information in a press conference on Saturday. He said that ‘the party will ask questions to the Modi government in the winter session regarding India-China border tension, inflation and interference in the functioning of constitutional and independent institutions in the country’. The Congress MP also said that ‘we do not want debate just for the sake of criticism’.

A meeting of senior party leaders was held at the residence of Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi on Saturday, which was attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and party’s chief whip in Rajya Sabha Jairam Ramesh, among others. . During this, the strategy to surround the government on various issues was discussed in the winter session of the Parliament.

Jairam Ramesh said in a press conference after this meeting, ’14-15 issues were discussed between the Congress President and other leaders. The data issue that happened in AIIMS just now was discussed. The tension with China was also discussed. Morbi incident was discussed. There was also discussion about the judiciary and the falling value of the rupee.

Referring to the winter session of Parliament, the Congress leader said, ‘It will be a very short session, in which 14 days will be available to raise the issue. During this, we will have 3 important issues. First- Tension with China has remained intact for 22 months, that issue will remain. The second big issue is the economic situation and unemployment, the third one will be the issue of constitutional institutions, whose rights are being snatched away. Apart from this, we will also raise the issues of farmers.

The winter session of the Parliament will start from Wednesday 7th December and will continue till 29th December. This session is starting just a day before the election results of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. In such a situation, the effect of these election results is expected to be visible on this session.

While the Congress Member of parliament Rahul Gandhi is on ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Jairam Ramesh told that ‘Tomorrow (Sunday) night, the Bharat Jodo Yatra will reach Jhalawar district of Rajasthan. Due to this visit, some other Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi will not be able to attend the winter session.
