The first ODI will be played at Eden Park in Auckland.

New Delhi. After defeating the host team in the T20 series, the Indian team which went on New Zealand TV Cour tour is ready to do two hands in the ODI series as well. The first match of the prestigious series will be played on 25 November at Eden Park in Auckland. In the ODI format, the Indian team will be led by experienced batsman Shikhar Dhawan in place of Hardik Pandya.

Before the first ODI, former Indian team cricketer Wasim Jaffer had a special conversation with ESPNcricinfo Hindi about the playing XI. He has selected Shubman Gill along with Shikhar Dhawan as the opener. Both these batsmen have handled the responsibility of the team very well in the absence of key players.

Apart from this, he has selected Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant in the middle order. Pant will handle the responsibility of wicketkeeping along with batting. Apart from this, he has selected four all-rounder players in the team. It includes the names of Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar.

Apart from this, the former cricketer has kept two specialist fast bowlers in the team. This includes the names of Arshdeep Singh and young sensation fast bowler Umran Malik. Malik is famous for his flamboyant bowling.

Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik.
