Tabassum started acting at the age of 3, worked till the last breath of life, used to run Instagram

Bollywood actress Tabassum, who was born before independence, today said goodbye to the world forever. Tabassum, 78, started acting in front of the camera at the age of just 3. After this, this process continued for about 75 years. Although Tabassum was away from films, she remained close to the hearts of her fans.

After taking a break from films, Tabassum continued to register her presence on social media along with TV and was connected with people till her last breath through YouTube. While Bollywood is mourning the news of Tabassum’s demise, people are remembering her brilliant performances in her films Suhaag, Manjhdhar, Bari Bahan and Deedar.

Started acting at the age of 3
Actress Tabassum was born on 9 July 1944 in Mumbai. Tabassum’s father Ayodhya Nath Sachdev was a freedom fighter and one of the companions of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Tabassum’s career started as a child artist from the age of just 3 years. In the year 1947, Tabassum played the role of a child artist in Nargis.

After this, Tabassum worked as a child artist in many films like Beju Bawra, Jogan and Didar. Tabassum left a mark of her acting in a famous song ‘Bachpan Ke Din Bhula Na Dena’ from Deedar. After this Tabassum worked as a leading heroine in many films.

Doordarshan’s show gave recognition
Although Tabassum got more fame than films, his program ‘Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan’ came on Doordarshan. Tabassum got a lot of recognition while hosting this show. Tabassum continued to work after this. Tabassum, sometimes seen in TV and sometimes in films, may have been born before independence, but Khayal was completely independent.

Despite being from the old era, Tabassum was fully active in today’s powerful medium of digital world. Even at the age of 78, Tabassum used to register her entry on apps like Instagram as well. Not only this, till her last breath, Tabassum continued to run a YouTube channel named Tabassum Talkies. Through this YouTube channel, Tabassum used to narrate stories of old films and interesting information related to them.
