New Delhi. All-rounder Sammy-Jo-Johnson has not made her debut for the Australia women’s team, but has played for many important domestic teams. Johnson, who recently played for Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), hasn’t had a great time. Thunder finished at the bottom of the table with only one win in 14 matches. Johnson took nine wickets for 134 runs, but she could not perform at her best. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old is back to her profession, which she loves the most after cricket.

Working in a trucking company, Sammy Jo Johnson wants to inspire other women to take up this profession. She thoroughly enjoys driving B-doubles in Queensland. Johnson was quoted as saying by 10 New Firsts, “I could just touch the brakes if needed, but it’s basically sitting with my hands on the steering wheel. Just holding on and hoping I got it straight.”

He further said, “Of course it is a lot of fun. You never know where your journey will take you that day. You pick up your truck and you can be anywhere. So it’s great fun.” Johnson said she wants other women to step out of their comfort zones and take up the “fun” and “enjoyable” profession of truck driving.

Sammy-Jo-Johnson shared a video on his official Twitter handle and wrote, “There is something that already keeps me busy outside cricket. Hope some more women step out of their comfort zone and give it a try.”
